Yellowknife RCMP are concluding their search for Glenn Field, 63.

Field was last seen with his two German Shepherds near Rolfe Lake, about 150 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife and 72 km east of Gordon Lake. RCMP and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) conducted air searches for Field over the summer.

The searches covered the area around Rolfe Lake where Field was last seen with his two German Shepherds, according to an RCMP news release. The release did not say when he was last seen.

On Aug. 24, RCMP located some pieces of equipment in the area believed to belong to Field though there were no sightings of Field himself, nor of his dogs or grey canoe.

Yellowknife RCMP said that with no indications of Mr. Field’s travel plans, they are concluding search operations.

If new information on Fields possible location is brought forward to the RCMP, further searches will be organized.

We are still hoping for the public to come forward if they are traveling on the land and see a grey coloured canoe, or one or two of his German Shepherds," said Staff Sergeant Yannick Hamel. "We ask anyone with tips on his possible location, to please contact Yellowknife RCMP."
