Yellowknife RCMP seek woman suspected of using phony prescriptions at pharmacies

Police in Yellowknife are requesting the public's help in identifying a woman they say used fraudulent prescriptions to illegally obtain medicine at a pair of city pharmacies.

Between March 29 and March 31, RCMP say the suspect used phony prescriptions to gain access to the medication at two pharmacies in Yellowknife.

“It is illegal to alter a drug prescription, or use forgery with the intention of using the document as genuine” states RCMP Sgt. Yannick Hamel in a news release issued Tuesday afternoon.

Mounties are asking residents to identity the female suspect, who was captured by video surveillance.

Police say the woman is 5' 5 " in height, weighing approximately 170 pounds.
