Yellowknife RCMP ask for public's help following armed robbery

Yellowknife RCMP is asking for the public's help after they say a knife-wielding man robbed a city convenience store early Monday morning.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery around 4:30 a.m. A lone suspect, Mounties say, entered the Mac's Convenience Store on Forrest Drive where he demanded cash from the clerk.

RCMP have not stated how much money was taken in the robbery.

The suspect is described as white, 5 ft 10 inches tall, with a slender build, wearing a blue hoodie with red lettering on the front, states the news release.
