Two arrested after pills and drug trafficking paraphernalia seized in Yellowknife

Yellowknife RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS) arrested two women Friday after obtaining drug trafficking paraphernalia in a downtown building.

The RCMP seized prescription pills and drug trafficking paraphernalia from a commercial accommodation business on 50 Street near 51 Avenue, a press release advised.

The women were later released from custody. The investigation is ongoing.

Sergeant Curtis Kuchta reminds people to "be cautious with their prescription medication," and to "always keep them in a secure place."

"The General Investigative Section would like to remind people to be cautious with their prescription medication," states Sgt. Curtis Kuchta, in charge of Yellowknife RCMP General Investigative Section. "Always keep them in a secure place, away from reach."
