Third case of COVID in Yukon

Yellowknife's two probable cases of Covid-19 have now been confirmed by the NWT's Office of the Chief Public Health Officer.

Yukon reported its third positive case of COVID-19 on Wednesday morning.

"This third case is related to travel outside of Yukon. The individual was tested on Monday, March 23 and test results were received this morning. The individual is doing well at home and contact tracing has begun," chief medical health officer Dr. Brendan Hanley said in a news release.

Yukon's first two cases were announced on Sunday night.

Canada-wide there were at least 1,960 positive cases of coronavirus and 27 deaths, according to a report on Wednesday morning by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
