Walk-in service added at Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic

Starting July 2, walk-in service will be provided at Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic, the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority announced Wednesday afternoon.

Clients can continue to make same-day appointments by phone on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic and Frame Lake Community Health Clinic will also still offer regularly booked appointments.

As part of the news service, the Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic will now be open from 8:05 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. Walk-in services will be offered in the morning and after 4:30 p.m.

Same day appointments can be booked from 8:05 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Saturday is walk-in service only, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We know expanding access to primary care clinic services will help to expand the range of care options we have available for our clients and ensure that all residents have safe and timely access to care in a way that works for them,” said Sue Cullen, CEO of NTHSSA.
