Police in Yellowknife are asking for the public’s help in locating a 29-year-old woman.

Toni Tobac is believed to be in the Yellowknife area, according to a news release issued by RCMP Wednesday afternoon.

“Public assistance is requested to confirm her well being,” say police.

RCMP described Tobac as “Indigenous, measuring 5’4” (163 cm) and weighing 150 lbs. (68 kg). She has shoulder length brown and orange hair.”

Tobac was last seen wearing a hooded sweater with black pants.

Wednesday’s news release from police does not include when and where Tobac was last seen.

Last month, Tobac’s partner reported her missing in Edmonton following a medical trip.

Despite her partner’s frustrations, police in Edmonton said they considered Tobac safe and not missing.

Anyone with information related her whereabouts is urged to call Yellowknife RCMP at 867-669-1111.

Updates to follow.
