Pedestrian struck in motor vehicle collision

The City of Yellowknife reports that a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Tuesday was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A city news release stated today that at about 7:14 a.m. on Dec. 3, a person was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Range Lake Road and Old Airport Road.

The city's fire division was dispatched and RCMP attended and secured the scene.

The Yellowknife RCMP stated in a subsequent email that no charges have been laid and that as the investigation is ongoing, no further details can be provided at the moment.

RCMP were unable to state what type of vehicle was involved or in which direction it was going or if the person has been released from the hospital.
