The NWT Parks website crashed on Wednesday morning, the same time period during which it was scheduled to open for online campsite bookings.
The GNWT announced Tuesday that the portal's booking system would open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10.
As of 10:50 a.m. the website had slowed down and some members of the public said a "website under maintenance" message had appeared when they tried to log in.
NNSL Media has inquired with the GNWT for details and is awaiting a response.
