The final production for the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre's Canada 150 performances will take place this weekend.
Yellowknife native Leelay Gilday is one-of-eight musicians with the Northern Arts Orchestra which will be showcasing their talent at NACC marking Canada's milestone year.

The orchestra is made up of eight acts which NACC executive director, Marie Coderre said exemplify Canada's diversity in the arts.
“It was important to highlight this celebration in a meaningful way,” said Coderre. “This has been a year where we put a strong influence on the Indigenous community.”
The Indigenous productions for NACC include Susan Aglukark who performed music where the lyrics are based where she lives. Also, NACC was able to book the Ko K'e Music and Spoken Word Festival in which the colonialism of Canada was told through the words of English, French and Indigenous storytellers.
Performers for the Dec. 9 show include the aforementioned Gilday, YK composer Carmen Braden and The Raven Conspiracy string quartet as well as Iqaluit's Sylvia Cloutier.
The upcoming National Arts Centre Orchestra show is scheduled to be a blend of classical and contemporary music to please a variety of show-goers.
The orchestra will be performing one night only, tickets are able to be purchased online or at the NACC box office.
