Curtis Shaw is the new president of Northwestel, stated a news release yesterday.
Shaw is the successor of president and CEO Paul Flaherty, who during his 18-year tenure, ushered fibre optic technology, 4G wireless networks and high-speed Internet into the North, stated the release.
Shaw has served in multiple senior roles including marketing director, general manager of Northwestel Cable, VP of marketing and most recently chief operating officer.
Shaw will head up the telecom company as it prepares to expand satellite broadband services into Nunavut.
