Bobby Zoe to be sentenced today

A dangerous/long-term offender hearing for repeat sexual offender Bobby Zoe is expected to conclude today.

Zoe, 36, who was convicted of break and enter and sexual assault in 2016 for an attack in 2015, appeared in NWT Supreme Court yesterday.

The judge listened to submissions from defence lawyer Steve Fix and Crown attorney Blair MacPherson. Both agree Zoe should be declared a dangerous offender, but at question is whether he should be sentenced to an indeterminate amount of time in prison.

Zoe was also convicted in 2012 of a brutal sex assault on a 23-year-old woman while she walked alone on 53 Street in 2011.
