Customers of the Yellowknife Independent grocery stores will soon be required to wear masks, a spokesperson of Rochdi’s Your Independent Grocer confirmed – though they refused to be named until securing more details with Loblaws head office.

The spokesperson said they received notice Wednesday that customers would soon need masks upon entering the store. They couldn’t yet say when that regulation would come into effect.

Glen’s Your Independent Grocer, Yellowknife’s downtown location, has posted a sign informing shoppers of the new requirement. Staff from the downtown location could not be reached for details.

  1. And the insanity continues in the NWT. Ill be leaving as soon as I secure a job back to ontario. I’ll still be wearing masks and social distancing but at least the wannabe failed police candidate cops cant force me to isolate when I come back from visiting my family. Ridiculous restrictions that are way overboard for a territory that saw five cases and zero deaths
