Jordin Tootoo is coming to two NWT communities.

The former fan-favourite NHL forward, of Ranklin Inlet, is set to stop by Whati's Culture Centre today at 1 p.m. before moving on to Behchoko tomorrow.

The tour is part of a partnership between Tootoo, the RCMP, the Tlicho Government, the GNWT, the community governments of Whati and Behchoko and Fortune Minerals Limited, states a news release from Mounties.

Tootoo, who has been active as a public speaker since retiring from hockey last year after 13 years in the NHL, will be bringing his message of "inspired inclusivity" to community members.

Tootoo, who began his career with the Brandon Wheat Kings, played for multiple top-tier squads, including the Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils, before playing his final season with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Tootoo is scheduled to stop by Behchoko's Ko Gocho Sportsplex Centre at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.

Meet and greets will be held following Tootoo's presentations.
