Highway 3 has been reopened following a collision Monday morning.

A stretch of highway between Yellowknife and Behchoko was closed for hours following the reported accident.

CBC North reports the closure was the result of a vehicle accident some 70 kilometres outside of the capital.

There’s no word yet on whether or not the accident resulted in any injuries.

Yellowknife RCMP did not immediately respond to Yellowknifer’s request for comment.

The department says it will offer updates when available via Twitter.

Updates to follow.
