Trevor Kasteel says he wants to build confidence and courage in people.

Trevor Kasteel has a simple idea he wants to realize come June 11.

For anyone suffering silently, he wants to help, he said.

Kasteel will be on stage at the Multiplex gymnasium, talking about his own hardships, whether it be professional or personal. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is expected to last about two hours.

"I just will be absolutely vulnerable on stage" said Kasteel. "I want to share all my learnings and tough times that I've had."

Kasteel's former business, Kasteel Construction and Coatings Inc., filed for bankruptcy in October 2023. He's also had his own battles with mental health.

"I've fought hard and mostly with myself to still be here and for this," he said.

Although the event hasn't happened yet, Kasteel said he's heard from some of the people who are going attend, and that the feedback so far has been quite positive.

For his future, he said he hopes to keep up with public speaking and motivating others.

"I'm launching myself, I'm putting myself out there. I'm going to be vulnerable and I'm not ashamed," he said. "I want to build confidence and courage in people. I want to help lift them in any way I can."

Kasteel's talk, titled, ‘It’s Time For Silence To Suffer,’ is free to attend. It's meant for anyone one 13 years of age or older. For those who can't make it in person, there will be a Zoom link to watch online.
