The editorial in Friday's Yellowknifer stated the territorial government had considered “cutting” A New Day, an anti-family violence program helping men. To be clear, A New Day was an initially a pilot project. Its future was uncertain until it was granted a six-month extension in 2016 followed by a four-year commitment to the NWT John Howard Society to take over the program last year.
