Residents are asked to take caution when travelling on the west side of the city on Friday afternoon.
The Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) will be conducting training exercises in the vicinity of Kam Lake, Grace Lake and Engle Business district areas on May 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
"The exercise will involve the use of City emergency vehicles at full speed, with lights and sirens activated and will assist the YKFD in planning for and responding to future incidents in Yellowknife," a city news release stated. "Residents are asked to follow all usual road safety protocols as these tests are completed."
