An ambulance  rushed the young boy to Stanton Territorial Hospital just after 5 p.m., after responding to a call from the Aurora Ridge Apartment building at 48 Con Road.

The mother of the child declined to comment when reached Monday but told NNSL Media the child was "OK."

Alison Harrower, corporate communications advisor with the City of Yellowknife, acknowledged in an email that the Yellowknife Fire Division responded to the scene after receiving a call at 4:48 p.m. but provided no further details.

"One individual was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital," Harrower stated. "This incident is under the jurisdiction of the RCMP."

The RCMP stated in an email Monday they have no record of the incident although an RCMP vehicle was present at the scene.
