Canadian Tire Yellowknife is once again able to sell firearms and ammunition after a permitting issue forced the retail store to shutter its gun and ammunition section earlier this month.
Management confirmed to Yellowknifer the Old Airport Road location is back in business when it comes to selling customers firearms and ammunition, after receiving a firearms permit late last week.
Signs affixed to Canadian Tire Yellowknife's firearms and ammunition rack earlier this month. Customers can now purchase both after new ownership received licensing late last week.

A new owner recently took over the retail location, but required a firearms licence before they could legally sell firearms and ammunition.
That prompted a temporary shutdown of all firearm and ammunition sales at the business.
Canadian Tire Yellowknife is the sole supplier of both firearms and ammunition in the city, and many customers come from neighbouring communities.
