Yellowknife RCMP are investigating a sudden death after a body was discovered near the Frame Lake trail this morning.
Police, along with Yellowknife Fire Division and Emergency Services responded to the entrance of the Frame Lake trail at the end of Matonabee Street just after 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
A Yellowknifer reporter on the scene watched as police cordoned off a stretch of the pathway with yellow tape.
Police and paramedics responded to the area at the end of Matonabee Street, at an entrance to the Frame Lake trail. Police now say a body was found in the area.
RCMP's major crimes unit, along with the Forensic Identification Services and the NWT Coroner Services are continuing to investigate.
Police won't be offering further information at this time.
