Originally from Germany, Hans spent about 50 years in Yellowknife. Hans worked as the Meat Manager at the Super A Foods store and later as a Cook at Exploration Camps and at the Salvation Army in Yellowknife. Hans liked to spend time at his cabin at Prelude and in his later years would spend his winters in Germany with family. Hans was accompanied back to Germany by his nephew Dirk after a lengthy stay at StantonTerritorial Hospital. Hans spent his final days with family and passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Service will be held in Lauterbach Germany on June 29th, 2024.
