Public hearings on three bills

The Standing Committee on Economic Development and Environment is holding a series of public hearings next week on three bills - Bill 38: Protected Areas Act, Bill 39: Environmental Rights Act and Bill 44: Forest Act.

The hearings will start in Fort Smith on April 23 at 7 p.m. in the Salt River First Nation Boardroom, before heading to Hay River on April 24 in the Community Centre at 7 p.m.
On April 25, hearings will be held in K'atl'odeeche First Nation at noon at the Chief Lamalice Complex and in Behchoko at 7 p.m. at the Ko Gocho Centre.

Hearings will be held on April 26 at the Midnight Sun Complex in Inuvik at 7 p.m., on April 27 in Norman Wells at the legion at 4 p.m., on April 29 in Fort Providence at the Community Hall at 6 p.m. and on April 30 in Yellowknife at the legislative assembly at 6 p.m.
