A Fort Smith man charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 48-year-old man will be back in court next month.

Wilfred Abraham, 55, is charged in connection with the death of Ralph Sifton, who was found deceased in Fort Smith on Aug. 13,  2018.

Abraham will sit in a Fort Smith court for the beginning of a preliminary inquiry - a hearing to test the strength of Crown’s case against the accused’s before heading to trial - on Aug. 6.

The hearing is expected to take up to four days, and prosecutors intend to call several witnesses.
