The Hay River Fire Department will hold an open house from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 12.
Community residents are being invited to check out the department's equipment – including the pumpers, tankers, ambulances and rescue units – and visit with firefighters.
The open house is part of Fire Prevention Week from Oct. 8 to 14.
The theme of this year's Fire Prevention Week is Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out.
