I am from England and I have just cycled 1588.67 km from Whitehorse to Tuktoyaktuk via Aklavik and Inuvik on the ice road over the last two weeks, camping out where possible and refueling at garages and community shops.

Just wanted to let you know how friendly everyone in the Yukon and NWT have been. Lots of asking if I was OK on cold mornings, people giving me coffee and muffins and generally being concerned.

Most of the way I saw the same truck drivers and lots were hooting horns when they had seen me. The highway team at James Creek are awesome. They made fresh coffee and gave me a warm garage to sleep in. NWT is an awesome place with great people.
