Info session on protecting kids online coming to Behchoko

NWT RCMP has teamed up with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection to bring Yellowknife residents information sessions about online safety and protecting children from sexual abuse.

Members of the NWT RCMP's  Internet Child Exploitation Unit, along with representatives from the Canadian Centre for Children Protection, will stop Behchoko's  Community Government Building in Behchoko on Wednesday, April 10.

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a charitable group committed to the "personal safety of all children," states the release.

The organization aims to "reduce victimization by providing national programs and services to the Canadian public."

Education workshops in Behchoko begin will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
