Hay River man charged following 'possible stabbing,' say RCMP

A 23-year-old man Hay River man has been charged after a "possible stabbing" over the weekend in K’atl’Odeeche First Nation, say RCMP.

Mounties in Hay River responded to a report a "possible stabbing," just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to a news release issued Monday afternoon.

A male was treated at the Hay River Regional Health Centre Saturday before being transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Donald Alexander Jensen, of Hay River, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.

The investigation is ongoing and no further suspects are being sought, say RCMP.
