The hamlets of Aklavik, Enterprise, Fort McPherson, Fort Providence, Fort Resolution, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Tuktoyaktuk and Ulukhaktok are holding municipal elections on Dec. 10. Between the nine hamlets there are 12 candidates for mayor and 59 for council.
All candidates in Aklavik, Enterprise, Tuktoyaktuk and those seeking councillor positions in Sachs Harbour have already been acclaimed.
