RCMP investigate killing of Arviat man


RCMP intend to charge a 30-year-old Arviat man with murder in relation to the death of another man, 29, from the community.

The police released details of the investigation on Feb. 20, indicating that their probe into the situation is still “in its early stages,” only beginning the day before.

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is on scene in Arviat.

The 30-year-old suspect is in RCMP custody, according to a news release from the Mounties.
