Liidlli Kue re-elects Antoine

Kele Antoine has been returned as chief of the Liidlii Kue First Nation in Fort Simpson.

In results posted Thursday night, Antoine garnered 119 votes to 110 for his only competitor, Mavis Cli-Michaud.

Josanne Kenny was the top vote-getter among those vying for a seat on band council. She was chosen on 184 ballots. Also elected to council were Bianca Gargan (183 votes), Nathan McPherson (180 votes), Brian Martineau (161 votes), Brandon Bugghins (153 votes), Dennis Deneyoua (146 votes), James Tsetso (146 votes) and James Antoine (132 votes).
