If you parked your vehicle at Mike Zubko Airport in Inuvik three months ago, you have until April 30 to pick it up or it will be towed.

An announcement was made by the GNWT at 1:30 p.m. March 18.

“Abandoned vehicles are taking up space and interfering with maintenance activities at the Inuvik Mike Zubko Airport,” says the news release. “As outlined in the Motor Vehicles Act, airport managers in the Northwest Territories have authority to remove abandoned vehicles.”

Vehicles left in the parking lot for after this date will be considered abandoned and towed at the owner’s expense, unless arrangements are made with airport management.

As of May 1, anyone who wishes to leave their vehicle at the airport for longer than a month will need to make arrangements with the airport manager.

Mike Zubko Airport’s manager is Jason MacNeil and can be reached by email at Jason_MacNeil@gov.nt.ca or by phone at (867) 777-2467.
