Death in hospital leads RCMP looking at Raven Pub's altercation

A man passed away on May 15 after being brought to the hospital by EMS, despite their life-saving efforts.

The Yellowknife RCMP officers have noted that the individual might have been involved in an alleged altercation at the Raven Pub in the early hours of Saturday, May 11th. The NWT Major Crime Unit, along with the Chief Coroner of the territory, is now investigating the cause of the 24-year-old city man’s death.

The officers and the Coroner Service are currently working to determine if this incident is related to the man’s death.

The RCMP encourages people who were at the Pub between 1:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on May 11 and might have witnessed the altercation, either inside or outside of the pub, to contact the Yellowknife RCMP at 867-669-1111 or Crime Stoppers at http://www.p3tips.com
