Behchoko’s Robin Erasmus matched the Extra numbers on his Lotto 6/49 ticket and won $250,000 recently.
“I was so happy, so excited when I saw the amount on the screen,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it!
“It feels really, really good to win!” he added.
He purchased his winning ticket from YK Co-op Gas Bar on Old Airport Road for the July 12 draw. The Western Canada Lottery Corporation publicized the extraordinary occurrence on Monday.
Erasmus said he has not made any plans for his windfall at this point, according to the lottery corporation.
The winning Extra numbers for July 12 were 4038801.
