Totally Arctic Wrestling announces summer slammer

School's out and Totally Arctic Wrestling is wasting no time organizing a big wrestling show for summer entertainment. Promising a rematch between the Nolarbear and Blu Wilder, as well as a re-match between Deztro the Eskimofo and Devin Shipwreck, the fur will fly June 15. Location and further lineups to be announced soon.

 

Giant Garage sale this weekend

Thrift seekers will want to make their way to the Midnight Sun Complex this weekend as the Town of Inuvik will be hosting a giant garage sale on May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The inside of Roy Ipana memorial arena will be filled with as many tables as vendors come forward. To book a table costs $10 and can be done by phoning the  MSC at (867) 777-8640 or by booking in person.

 

East Three boys basketball bring home hardware

East Three's boys basketball have returned from their Edmonton trip and brough back hardware for their efforts. Placing second in the bronze tier, the team collected silver medals in the Swoosh Volvo Cars Basketball Tournament. Also representing East Three proud were the girls team whom also made an impact at the tournament.

 

Small Earthquake near Aklavik

A magnatude 3.7 earthquake shook approximately 64 kilometres southwest of Aklavik at 9:30 a.m. on May 20. The quake was shallow, at a mere 15.6 kilometre depth, which would have resulted for stronger shaking for anyone near the epicenter. The quake is considered weak and is not a concern for public safety.
