UPDATE: Man wanted in relation to armed robbery arrested

RCMP say they've arrested a man wanted in connection with a Sept. 24 armed robbery.

Police say at approximately 4:30 p.m. they located the second suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Sept. 24. The other suspect was arrested at a nearby hotel on the day of the incident.

Robert Vernon Cardinal, 26, is charged with forcible confinement, robbery, and wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence. He is scheduled to appear in court in Inuvik Sept. 30.

Timothy Dukeshire faces 10 charges under the criminal code, including robbery with a firearm. He is in custody and will appear in Yellowknife Territorial Court Oct. 5.

None of the charges against either individual have been proven in court.
