RCMP have confirmed they have found the remains of Fort McPherson Elder Paul Koe following a search and rescue operation that began Sept. 7.
Koe was found in the evening of Sept. 8 in the area of the Dry River and Peel Channel. A cause of death has not been determined however police do not believe his death was the result of anything criminal.
He was reported missing at around 2:20 p.m, on Monday, Sept. 7.
A coroner's investigation is being conducted however no autopsy is planned at this time.
