Aklavik RCMP say they've arrested a man who was wanted on outstanding warrants.

Police said they received a complaint on Aug. 8 and brought in the Inuvik RCMP, a Northwest Territories RCMP police dog and the Inuvik General Investigation Section to respond to the complaint. The nature of the complaint has not been released.

When the suspect of the complaint was not found where he had been previously ordered to by his release conditions, a warrant was issued Aug. 10.

RCMP arrested the man without incident on an undisclosed date.

Scott Alexander Kaglik is charged with four counts of failing to comply with a release order. He is in custody and will appear in Yellowknife Territorial Court on Sept. 9.

RCMP are reminding people that anyone with information on suspicious activity should contact Aklavik RCMP at 978-1111, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or text: “nwtnutips” plus your message to 274637.

The charges against Kaglik have not been proven in court.
