A 22-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision on the Dempster Highway just before 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11.

According to Cst. Robert Frizzell of the RCMP North District Media Liaison, the accident occurred approximately 30 km south of James Creek Camp near the Yukon-Northwest Territories border.
The individual driving the other vehicle was not injured.
The Yukon Coroner’s Service is investigating the accident with assistance from the Northwest Territories Coroner’s Service, Fort McPherson RCMP, Dawson City RCMP and Yukon RCMP Traffic Services.
The Yukon RCMP dispatched a collision reconstruction specialist to the scene. The Dempster Highway was closed for the investigation from Sunday afternoon into Monday morning.
