The Town of Hay River is getting a mobile stage.
At its May 14 meeting, council awarded a tender for the stage to Aurora Freightliner for a price not to exceed $130,000, excluding GST.

's 2019 capital budget, and is part of a joint beach upgrade project with the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI).
The department is covering 75 per cent of the cost through its Tourism and Product Diversification Program.
According to background information provided to council, the trailer-based portable stage would be used to support various events within the community.
It will be towable by a pickup truck, and will be designed to fit into local facilities such as the Rec Centre. Plus, it would be expandable to accommodate large performances and groups.
Mayor Kandis Jameson asked administration to confirm that it will fit into the arena.
Judy Goucher, the town's senior administrative officer, responded that the recommended bid complies to the requirement of fitting into the Rec Centre.
"It's a modification to the system that it will be able to fit into the arena," said Goucher. "That's the intent."
The goal for the portable stage is to enhance performances and activities at events such as Hay Days, Lobsterfest, K'amba Carnival, Canada Day, and the NWT Track and Field Championships.
Two bids were received for supplying the stage in a public tender that closed on May 1.
One of the bids did not meet the requirements for the size of the stage and was disqualified.
