Grand opening set for renovated KFN offices

A grand opening is set for Dec. 11 for the renovated band office of K'atlodeeche First Nation on the Hay River Reserve.

The event will feature a ribbon cutting and a Christmas dinner.

The First Nation moved back into its regular band office building on Oct. 23 after about a year in the former Nats'ejee K'eh Treatment Centre to allow for the renovations.

The interior of the band office was basically gutted and rebuilt by Naegha Zhia Inc., the development arm of the First Nation.

The highlight of the renovated offices is the new council chambers – round like a tipi and at the centre of the building.
