Full moon snowshoe set for Oxbow Trail

logo

A full moon snowshoe will take place on Vale Island's Oxbow Trail on Jan. 31.

On that night, the moon will be full for the second time this month.

That is called a blue moon, and happens just once every two and a half years.

The snowshoe activity will cover about four to five kilometres from the head of Oxbow Trail to the West Channel.

Participants must bring their own equipment, and headlamps are recommended.
The event is being presented by the Hay River Snowshoe Crew.
